Another of those pointless, self-indulgent lists that clutter up the Internet? You bet! This time it's Favorite Movies From 1929 to the Present.   ¶    Keep in mind that these are personal favorites and, while most are recognizably good movies (some are even great classics), there are also a few stinkers. And there are some you might never have heard of.   ¶    A start date of 1929 corresponds to the opening of the "all-talkie" floodgate and this unfortunately means gems such as Matching Dreams (1916), The Sea Hawk (1924), Don Juan (1926), Napoleon (1927), Sunrise (also 1927), & Show People (1928) are omitted.   ¶    Each year is limited to ten but, as you will see, the numbers do vary. Some particularly lean years can only muster a single favorite & some come up a big fat zero.   ¶    As the banner indicates, I'm neither apologizing for nor explaining my choices, but you are welcome to send me an e-mail if you have questions or comments.
